Twins fan here, thought I'd say a few things.

1) Radke has been quoted in the Star Tribune as saying he understands the market is different and doesn't expect to get as much as he did in his last contract. That's a huge thing to have a player actually stay.

2)Twins still want him, he still says he wants to be with the Twins so there's still a possibly we could re-sign him.

3) If you look at his second half last year, you'll see he started to lower his walk rate from then on.

Ok this has nothing to do with Radke but I just heard that the Marlins are going to cut ties with Lowell and I was just wondering if anyone thought that the Mariners would actually try to sign him.

Radke ain't going to the Angels, because they won't be able to afford Radke AND Pedro. (Somehow, I'm not convinced Pedro will pitch for Daddy.)

It's been shown time and time again in free agency that players get paid when they are coming off a good year. Radke is going to get roughly $24 mill / 3 years. Someone will pay that, bank on it.

I'm curious why you think he'll get (regardless of what he thinks he deserves) such a high salary for so many years. I'd predict more like 3 years, 18M, or 2 years 15M are the most he'll get.

How 'bout Texas? He may be a good fit there. That's kinda scary to me. They're a few pitchers shy of being a good team for a long time.

Watch him get signed by a team that's nowhere near contention. The Mets or the Orioles strike me as likely suitors.

Radke would be a good signing for a team who is on the verge of contending for a World Series crown and can afford to take a risk in order to put the team over the top.

So... Angels or Cubs?
