I think we could keep calling him “Bucky”. Bucky its not really his name at all but a nickname for Buck (which is not his first name anyways) so has to be as safe as “Doyle” was.

I think the Doyle thing worked well. It inspured fandom, and it gave Doyle his longest uninjured streak in years.

Maybe Doyle should have preventative knee replacement surgery.

15 – I’d say a 5, with it being a 7 when he reaches Seattle. Bucky at DH would obviously be a ginormous improvement over Spiezio, but this year is lost anyway. If he could stay healthy and productive he might create an interesting cheap alternative to acquiring a left fielder. Although I’m not sure the combination of a spacious outfield, flyball staff, and Ibanez is really the way to go either.

According to buckybackers.com, his full name is Larry William Buck Jacobsen. So the real question is whether when someone’s already going by their middle name you need to start referring to him by his first name?
