I would expect Seattle's weather is actually quite predictable. Environment Canada released a study about a year ago showing that Vancouver had the country's most predictable weather, simply based on seasonal norms.

Calgary's weather was least predictable (bad place to play baseball).

Corco --

If the Rainiers are still playing on the 16th, your blogmate will do his darndest to plow through the Friday night traffic northbound from Olympia all the way up to SeaTac and back down to Cheney. It may take us until 8 PM to get to the game, though, with the southbound traffic. It's usually better by 6:30-ish, but still quite heavy.

Anyone have a weather forecast out that far? Of course, weather forecasting in Western Washington is a near impossible task, especially out 10 days...

27: I'm staying at the Keenan House near UPS, not with anyone.

I'm applying to both Willamette and UPS. Whichever is cheaper wins.

29: That's an interesting philosophy, except my tickets are non transferrable.

Corco -- Maybe whoever you are staying with at UPS could give you a ride for a ticket to the game? :)

BTW, you should go to Willamette, not UPS. I'm a fellow Idahoan who ventured to Salem for my undergrad.

Yes, you can get a transfer between Sound Transit and Pierce Transit. And if time's really a big issue, you can call a cab from the Tacoma Dome and save yourself a few minutes.

Of course, there's no guarantee they'll be playing on the 16th. They DO have to win this first best three out of five first.

And yes, if you think the mass transit hours suck between Tacoma and Seattle, try living in Olympia where buses stop running to/from Tacoma around 8pm, and the ones that run before that don't sync up with the schedules of the ones you're trying to catch.
