Feierabend's name should be easy to spell in future threads and stop comments from being deleted unnecessarily. Because, when you break his name down, any baseball fan should be able to remember it:

Fei-ERA-bend. "Fei's ERA is around the bend!"

And there you have it. (It's kind of like how I visualize Joel Pineiro on the mound as a big pine tree ptching so I can remember his name, which, thankfully, I will no longer have to do!)

I'm hoping, hoping, hoping for a good team. I have always kinda pulled for the Mariners in the AL West, even when I was living back home in Oklahoma and watching my dad pull for the Angels.

I moved out here in '03, the last 90 win season. I completely fell in love with the team in '04 during the first 90-loss season.

I've actually gotten my dad to switch teams from the Angels to the M's...this after I took him on the Safeco Tour when he was out here in March and told him about Yuni, Jose, and the potential Good Pickup of Joh.

He now proudly wears a Kenji shirt around the small town in which I grew up in Oklahoma.

I hope that the M's are a good team next season not only for the sake of the Good M's fans, but also for my Dad who is going to come out in June specifically so we can catch a series together.

Oh, and then there's that being competative thing. A minor detail, really.

I don't know how good they will be overall next season, but the team is going in the right direction. There are many reasons to be optmistic despite Hargrove coming back.
Managment seems committed to a good core of young players like Lopez, Betancourt, Snelling, Felix and Lowe. Obviously a lot can happen between now and the 2007 season, but I am looking forward to a very good team next season.

Finally, my first post.

I just got back from the game not too long ago. I really want to believe that these guys will be good next year instead of mediocre. However, mediocre is better than bad...and so I will pay $7 for a bleacher seat.

The M's Team Store was having a sale outisde on the concourse during the game tonight. Most of the stuff was, eh, so-so. HOWEVER, they were selling JEFF CIRILLO magnets for 10 cents apiece!

I bought two!

I gave one to my friend Matt, who appreciated it.

This was one of the better parts of the game. The other was our impressions of Hargrove strategizing...complete with crazy, mad scientist laughter. "I will put in....OSWALDO NAVARRO! It is what they'll expect least....MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

And so on.

Hello everyone...

Wow, a game thread with about 3% game comments---but many remarks regarding beverage composition. . . . I'ts September under .500. Again. : (

sigh. Fruto came in, just about the same time the temperature dropped a good 10-15 degrees. Made for a swell evening at the ballpark....

OMG, Ibanez has been outstanding in left field?

well, he has been out standing in left field.

Like there won't be more garbage time this weekend...
