It's too bad he didn't get a shot at the Cubs, but then Lou's only signed on for 3 years and Girardi is young. I don't expect to see the Cubs in the WS over the next 3 years, but watching Lou blow up periodically (especially if the Tribune Co remains the owner and thus inevitably frustrates him the same way the Mariner's ownership did) will be fun. Win your division, get fired. Come in dead last, get kept on for another year. I guess Mike Scioscia gets a set of steak knives....
