99 – Sorry, after looking some more, I couldn’t find it. I swear that I read this somewhere today, but when even combing through my history doesn’t turn it up (aside from one site I frequent where I’d have to go through dozens of posts to doublecheck – no thanks), I don’t know what to say. Unless it was taken down from a site where I read it, I don’t know why I couldn’t find it in my history. I’m 100% confident that I *did* read that, but my source will have to remain a mystery.

My apologies – I’m not trolling or making stuff up, but I honestly can’t find the original article. If someone else finds this rumor mentioned elsewhere (and not just a reference to me posting it here, but something that mentions a source of some kind), please post a link here. Sorry, guys.

99 – Yes, I read it this morning. I just spent 5 minutes looking for it in the usual places, but I can’t find it. It wasn’t an offical quote, just a reference to ‘insider info’, so take it with a grain of salt.

The link might have been on a site I’d be afraid to post links to from here, so you may have to locate it yourself. If I find it elsewhere, I’ll throw the link up.

I’d flip Reed for Jacobs in a second, esp. if it meant a Sexson deal was imminent, which I imagine it would have to be.

Jacobs played mainly first base for the Marlins this past season. He is a perfect fit at Safeco as he pulls the ball to a friendlier right field porch. This could be a precursor to a Sexson trade if it happened. He’s not the patient hitter that most here would like though. He’s essentially a left-handed Sexson but younger.
