It's not just the losing streak - it's the lackluster play, the apparent lifelessness of the players, the incompetence of McLaren, the lack of good platooning, the unwillingness to call up AJ, etc. Our starting rotation and oft-impotent offense are just too weak to stay in this thing. We've lost 6 in a row, but we were in 5 of the 6 games. We're only 3.5 back of the Angels. It only hurts this much because we could have made one or two plays and won each of those 5 close games. Now that we've lost 6 in a row with our offense disappearing, perhaps we'll get to see Adam Jones join the club.
