#23: That plane would crash because Ray King would push the craft above its maximum weight-stress capacity.

The only question is who would eat who to stay alive.

"Welcome aboard Oft-Traded Airlines. This is your Captain, Rickey Henderson, and this is Rickey's co-pilot, Kenny Lofton. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight. There may be a little turbulence, especially after we pick up Milton Bradley, but Rickey can handle that. Rickey hopes you didn't pack more than a carry-on, because we have a lot of connections to make and your luggage may not arrive. Personally speaking, Rickey just lives out a plastic bag from Rite Aide and whatever comes free in the hotel rooms. Rickey is a light packer. That's just how Rickey is. You can't steal 1406 bases when you're loaded down with stuff."

So since TB changed its name from the "Devil Rays" to "Rays" while he was on their roster does that give him credit for two teams?

Jonathan - Yes, you're right. The Mariners traded David Ortiz for 28 games of Dave Hollins in 1996.

Y'know if there was ever a player who epitomized the blue-collar aesthetic that the Phillies have admired for so long, it would be Doyle. Remember the all-ugly World Series team in '93? John Kruk, Dave Hollins (who spent some time as an M, no?), Curt Schilling, et al. I'm not saying these are guys to emulate, but they manage to come off as working class millionaires. Philly likes that, and hopefully they'll like Doyle.

I guess I don't see much opportunity for him in Philadelphia. I hope Gillick isn't just using him as a spring-training fluffer and Triple-A filler.

One you've been traded more times than you've been injured, you know you're a winner. The "Rays" better have received a lot of cash.

While Doyle never wore a Rays uni, didn't they have two versions during his short time as a Ray?

If he manages to go into the HOF as a Ray, I wonder which uni they would use....
