So does the addition of Tug Hulett mean there is no chance the Ms will extend Beltre as well as signaling the move of Triunfel to the outfield?

That's reading way too much into this. Essentially, instead of outright releasing Broussard, they got a token return in exchange for trading him to a division rival so that he could be close to his home. If Tug was anything of value, the Rangers wouldn't have given him up. Not for Broussard, and not to the M's. This has zero impact on whatever future plans they might have for Beltre or Triunfel.

I saw Tug Hulett play in OKC and he was pretty good. Nothing more than a backup or injury replacement at the ML level though, in my opinion. I would say he's better than Bloomquist, but that's not saying much.

Eckstein close to signing with Toronto, pushing MacDonald to the bench. There's another slick-fielding SS being pushed aside for offense.

That shows what type of value a guy like Everett has with the majority of teams in the leauge. My guess is Everett to Minnesota as they have shown that they value defense over offense, for the most part. Replacing Bartlett with Everett makes a lot of sense.

Not quite. If he breaks out, Willie Bloomquist is his upside.

So right now he's a weak-hitting, left-handed Willie Bloomquist.

Nice. We could platoon our 25th roster spot. Oh, wait...

In Tejada's defense, last year was his only decline-type year. He's got a 114 career OPS+ and put up years of 131, 128 and 126 before his 109 last year. He also missed 29 games due to injury after missing a total of 5 in the previous 8 years.

Nevermind. Yahoo! sports just posted.

If Kuroda signs with the M's, are there any other moves to add pitching or does the cost of adding him preclude that?

I would love to see Prior in an M's uniform as long as it isn't a huge investment. If he can get healthy... yadayada.

Also - I heard on the radio that Broussard is moving to Texas but I haven't been able to track down the story. Que paso?

"Tug Hulett = Shin Soo Choo + Asdrubal Cabrera"

Soooo, does that mean he is good, or not? We all know how Asdrubal is doing now, but I haven't heard of Shin Soo Choo this year. Did he turn out a bust?
