in surprising news John Marzano has died. Nice choice by the AP on a photo to go with the brief news report. Wow, that is strange, and sad. But it's a great photo, and not one I recall seeing before. I don't like players getting into it, but if somebody's going to suffer a beatdown it should be a Yankee. Rather reminiscent of that legendary altercation when Nolan Ryan made Robin Ventura his, uh, prison wife.

What kind of numbers would guys like Sexson, Wilkerson and Beltre put up in Tacoma? Not saying that any of them should be in the minors, I am just wondering how there big league numbers would translate at tacoma
