I view this year’s version of the Mariners as a close friend, or maybe a relative, that has a drug addiction. Let’s say a meth addiction. You almost want to see them go all the way to the brink of death, just so they can have some kind of revelation and figure out that things really aren’t going to work out if they continue like this.
