This was the M’s first win this season when scoring fewer than four runs and first win when trailing after seven innings. Sad.

So this is obviously late, but I was away from a PC all day until now.

But I was listening to the Mariners post-game on the radio, and they indirectly brought up this site. And they talked about Felix’s fastball, and said something along the lines of “Some blog guys talked last year about how Felix needs to use his fastball more, and throw his curve less, and I’ll agree with that because Felix’s fastball is just so dominating.”

It ran completely against the “Open Letter to Rafael Chavez” post, and just seemed to summarize the M’s problems this season. There are moves they can make that would improve their chances to win, but they’re obstinately refusing to make them. They’re actively choosing to ignore those options. And it’s frustrating to watch.

As dismal as things are now we head to Detroit, which has slunk past the M’s to be the worst team in the AL. At least we knew the front office forgot to tighten the lug nuts and the wheels were likely to come off at the beginning of the season. Detroit fans must be gobsmacked.

Reed has a .970 OPS in Tacoma, a bit better than Wlad when he was called up. Do you think they will play him in left and let Raul DH, giving us a decent defensive outfield? Sit him and go back to Vidro at DH? Play him in place of Wlad?

My lunch is comin’ up, I think. Vidro is back to being the every day DH. According to Mac, Clement was “pressing” so it’s back to T-Town.

Maybe they should open a damn dry cleaners.
