oh, not nearly that successful; a local bar band with a few self-produced tapes. The lead singer had grown up in that Urban Hellhole known as Juanita, so he knew the soul-destroying effect of driving 520.

As good as Halladay is, he doesnâ€™t compare to Felix at the same age. At the age Felix is now, Halladay had less than one-fifth the strikeouts and was about to be sent back down to the minors to tear down and rebuild his mechanics.

I remember that…back in 2000, he had an ERA of over 10 in 60-some innings pitched. I know ERA isn’t always a great determining factor, but still…ouch!

As good as Felix Day is, it doesn’t yet to compare to Halladay. As has been noted on this site, he is really, really good. He just passed the Indians for the major league lead in complete games. That’s what the M’s need! That’s the ticket!

No. 37: Perry Como sang â€œ(The Bluest Skies youâ€™ve ever seen are in) Seattleâ€. I think it was the theme song to Here Come the Brides, a late 60â€™s TV show that starred Bobby Sherman, among others.

The others, of course, included David “Hutch” Soul…

I also remember Game Theory (the cool ’80s alternative band) doing a kick-ass cover of that song on one of their albums.

Some of us watched just for Mark Lenard.

Funny you should mention that, MSB…I just saw him in an episode of Mission: Impossible the other night as well…

And, yes, the smallest waterfront we’d ever seen probably was in Seattle in those days — that was before the Denny Regrade, after all.
