A quote from Art Thiel’s column regarding Wak’s coaches:

“The more I talked about it with Jack, the more important it became to have the best guys, not my best friend,” Wakamatsu said. “We have to ask ourselves what staff is going to get the most out of the players we have.”

Not that Rick Peterson might not be the best guy, but it would not appear that just because he’s friends with Wak that he’ll get the job.

LOL. I can see you're auditioning to replace Joe Morgan in the ESPN booth. More seriously, this interview with Peterson and Baseball Prospectus is great. Although I'd be interested in how, longterm, what he did with Hudson, Mulder and Zito affected their current situations.
