I can’t believe so many people want to keep Branyan. Look at his career stats! 1000 K’s in 2400 AB’s! And a sub .250 hitter. Do you really think he’d be able to hit playoff pitching?

I’m not sure that a roster is constructed with that particular worry in mind. I believe the idea is to get to the playoffs. They can fret over playoff pitching, if they’re in contention at the end of July.
