Well, there’s just one of you

So Dave, Derek, et al, are actually the same person?

That explains so much.

Well, there's just one of you. There's several LL guys, and they're all using those writing performance enhancement drugs they're always saying they don't care about. Anyway, reading the posts isn't nearly as exhausting as reading the comments.

Seriously. The pace of posting at Lookout Landing has been ridiculous lately. It's exhausting just for me to read their posts. I can't imagine the exhaustion of having to write them all!

In other news, today is Dave Sims' favorite day. Too bad it doesn't fall during the playing season.

The M's just grabbed 1B Tommy Everidge off of waivers from the A's. He destroyed AAA over 200 AB, but he was 26, and his extremely limited time with the A's didn't show much. Any idea if he has big league potential in or is he just AAA depth?

Man, the comment threads at Lookout Landing are hilarious. The "reply-to" feature really works well in that context.

As was mentioned at the meetup, you need to look for teams that are bad, or have been bad recently, to find the best blogs. It's not a perfect inverse correlation, but it's there.

So I expect the Seahawk blogs have been improving quite a bit lately.

I've stumbled across a couple of really good general (or MLB-wide) soccer blogs; I don't know about the Sounders in particular.

Of course none of the other sports are as amenable to the kind of statistical analysis that we see with SABR-oriented baseball blogs; that kind of rigor draws in some kinds of people (and repels other) but generally forces folks to do better analysis and make better arguments.

The FO has been so active that a week without a trade or a meaningful signing (sorry Nelson) feels like a month.

It also feels like a vacation. There's a reason Christmas isn't like 8 days straight (or 8 crazy nights) -- nobody can handle that much stimulation in that short a time. (Especially if your presents are complicated things that fit together with all the complicated things you have already, requiring analysis and reflection).

Unfortunately, just when the FO takes a break the LL guys have a chance to catch their breath and generate eleventy-thousand worthwhile* articles to read and comment on. The bastards. Already a couple of the best articles in the last little while have been pushed off the front page.

*Depending on your definition of worthwhile. There's some fluffy stuff floating at the top right now.

I love LL, but recent inet filters installed here at work no longer let me go there. USSM is one of my only kickass sources of analysis left. I depend on you. Honestly Dave..."someone else is already doing a great job" seems like kind of a copout. I know I've never commented here, but I read it every day. No thoughts on Tatis? This makes me sad.
