Please don't give up on the mobile theme. For us seniors...readability is a big issue on our smartphones. Thanks. Keep up the great work.

I got the mobile theme on my work computer for a few days last week (but they are having all around internet issues with all websites not loading every time or not loading completely every time). It's been working fine for a while now though.

I always get the full theme on my Kindle rather than the mobile theme. I don't know how Kindles show up to browser detection scripts.

For what it's worth, I can't look at the site for more than a minute or so at a time on my Kindle without wanting to throw the thing across the room. The mobile theme would view perfectly on that particular device.

I have the iPhone as well and I was never able to turn the mobile theme off. Seemed to default to it whether I chose to turn it off or not. I don't like the mobile theme either, but love the website either way!

Does nobody use Internet Explorer anymore? I had the same experience on my iphone, but I'm not complaining. Personally, I hated the mobile version.

Just to note my experience (PC, browsing with Firefox 3.5.8 on Windows XP). Got the mobile site when I originally visited the home page. Navigated to a specific post and that showed up in the standard version. The home page stayed in the mobile version until after I logged in, which seems to have switched everything nicely to the standard version.
