Jonah and Derek book signing tonight

DMZ · March 26, 2005 at 10:08 am · Filed Under Mariners

In case you haven’t made hot, rainy Saturday plans yet that don’t involve this — Jonah’s going to be doing a book signing tonight and I’ll be heckling. We’ll probably both be signing copies of Baseball Prospectus 2005, actually. Which reminds me — as we’ve been wandering around, we’ve been signing copies we can find at local bookstores, so if you miss the signing, you may find that your corner store has a bunch we’ve tagged.

    Where is Lake Forest Park?

North of Seattle, just as I expected… Nope, I won’t make it. I was thinking maybe it was near Clarkston.

It’s a nice bookstore, one of the rare ones that mixes used and new books on the same shelf. The selection isn’t that great, but we’re all going for hte company, right?

If you take Lake City Way north out of Seattle, it will be in the first shopping complex on the left hand side after you go down the hill and turn east at the north end of the lake (north of Shoreline). There’s a Baskin Robbins and Starbucks (of course) facing street-side. If you get to the Kidd Valley and Denny’s, you’ve gone too far.

So what does a Jonah Keri autograph go for on eBay these days?

Re: (# 3) Various Establishments – And don’t forget the GREAT HARVEST, a (franchised) bakery that grinds its flour fresh daily. Treat yourself to a treat, by buying a loaf of its bread–beaucoup varieties too. (And free samples.)
    [Ground floor, southwest end.]

…And now I remember what Chris’ last name is, and therefore understand why he was asking Jonah about the proper use of accent marks!

Was nice to meet you all this evening….

*About why BP didn’t use them, I mean. Not about how to use them. Sorry, Chris….

    Xteve X,

You can e-mail me at the address provided, and I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks so much for coming out and supporting the event and the book, guys. Seattle is always one of the best stops for Pizza Feeds, book tours etc., and a huge chunk of that is thanks to the great crowd drawn from USS Mariner.

    Cheers,
    Jonah
