Mariner All-Stars

Ichiro Suzuki, reserve OF. Didn’t even make the starting lineup, which is shocking. Annnnd… that is all. Eddie Guardado’s omission is a surprise. Joe Nathan gets on but not Guardado? I don’t get it.

#48: You said it. I can’t wait to see the “you gotta love this guy” promo for Sheffield.

Considering the contracts involved, I can’t think of a starting Yankee position player the M’s would want — except maybe Posada. If you could get him a couple of years younger.

Reed isn’t making the mistakes with his first step that he was in recent years. The past season and a half before 2005 began was where he fixed it, according to scouts that watched him on both coasts.

I know Dave saw him at some point, and DC is right… he’s much better.

Fun to watch, and at the very least, the M’s, and their fans can and should feel comfortable with Reed out there.

Brian Fuentes an All-Star? What a joke. Fuentes has had a solid year, but an All-Star?

Ichiro is an All Star in name only…he doesn’t deserve to be the M’s representative this year.

Eddie, on the other hand…has been one of the bright spots on this lifeless, moribund team so far this year. he should be in Detroit next week.

Ichiro’s certainly a star. That could well be a reasonable criterion.

    Using something like this…

…you could argue that his performance alone does warrant inclusion.
