M’s pick up Guardado’s $6.25M option for next season. I’m floored. Better yet, Bavasi says they’ve discussed a contract extension to keep Eddie in Seattle after 2006. I’m double floored.

Hey, did someone mention this already? I believe Eddie has another 1 million in incentives. If he ends up getting that then the price tag would have been $7.25 mil. $7.25 mil for a closer on a team that might or might not make it to .500!!?? Oh that’s a good move!

#152- NAH! Safeco isnt a ballpark, its a destination. The baseball is secondary to the branding. The fanstasy of 149 would likely be met with *how quaint* by alot of the people who buy tickets for M’s games. Now lets go buy the kids some cotton candy and a picture of Ichiro that they can hang on the wall as a remembrance.
Years later as spring cleaning reveals an old Ichiro poster…what was the score?…hmmmm….i dont even remember the names of either team that was playing….but man…dad used to get us the best cotton candy! I bet you’ve heard of this guy the Yankees have named Rivera. If my team had a one run lead going into the 9th inning of a must-win game, there’s no way I’d rather give Eddie the ball then Mr. Rivera.
