Meet Tease, Part Two

I was hoping to have finalized information for you guys this afternoon, but it will have to wait one more day. Since we’re getting close to the date, however, I did want to give you guys a reminder:
Sunday, April 2nd, big USSM shindig. You’re going to want to come, and we’re going to have a cap on how many people can attend, so clear your calendar. Exact time, how to sign up, where to meet, and fun announcement to come hopefully tomorrow.
How do you go about signing up for this? Was it posted before and I’m just not remembering? I’m going to the Opening Day game on the 3rd, so this’d be a good baseball weekend for me!
We’ll tell you how to sign up tomorrow.
I hope You-Know-Who is going to be there, and he comes through on his promise from last time. Not that it sucked last time, but it’d make it that much better.

Just please do the post at night, so those of us who work day jobs and don’t surf the net from our desk have a chance to sign up before all the available slots are taken…you know, if you think there’s a chance of that happening. (hey, I didn’t go to the last one, what do I know?)

I’ll be stuck in Peoria. So I won’t be there. But I’ll be having more fun.
I would bet that for any reasonable criteria of what composes fun, the Meet would have been more fun for you than an equivalent amount of time in Peoria.
Maybe on April 2nd, sure. But that’s when I fly back to Boise. On April 1st, I’ll be hitting it up in beautiful Mexicali.
The argument wasn’t that you wouldn’t have fun there. Or even that, overall, you’d have less fun in any given larger-than-Meet stretch of time.
It was that you will not be having more fun for the duration of the Meet.
I see, and you are very accurate in your assumption, presumeably. Would I rather sit on Untied [sic] Airlines all day, struggling to even get a seat assignment like I always to on that darn airlines, and hassling with customer service when they lose my luggage, like they always do, (the only reason I’m flying United is because it was cheapest, but I hate them with a fiery passion) or would I rather be at a USSM Meet? Tough call.
“Meat Tease Part Two” would be an excellent name for a porn movie.
