  2. msb on May 5th, 2006 10:08 pm

on the bright side, everyone in the AL West lost today.

  3. Typical Idiot Fan on May 5th, 2006 10:09 pm

He couldn’t make this any worse.

  4. ray on May 5th, 2006 10:10 pm

Okay two outs… can Eddie not give up a home run now?

  5. terry on May 5th, 2006 10:12 pm

I hope eddie can keep it close…. 😛

Alight! Alright! We win! We win! Eddie saves the 9th! Eddie saves the 9th!

  7. joser on May 5th, 2006 10:14 pm

Of course he can avoid giving up the HR — he only does that in save situations.

  8. joser on May 5th, 2006 10:16 pm

So there’s the M’s pitching staff and batters.

And then there’s the Cubs-Padres game tonight. Bottom of the 11th, neither team has scored a run.

  9. terry on May 5th, 2006 10:16 pm

eddie is one scrappy team leader….did ya see how he handled that high stress situation? Now thats fun to watch. Warrior poet people…..

ok, the ad for the Rosetta Stone language software? Couldn’t the guy who claims to have dazzled his friends by ordering in French at a French restaurant do something a but more complicated than asking for the chicken?

  11. joser on May 5th, 2006 10:18 pm

Spoke too soon. Padres just won it on a Barfield single.

  12. joser on May 5th, 2006 10:18 pm

    Ooooh, Ichiro begins the comeback.

  13. ray on May 5th, 2006 10:21 pm

Some stated that Ichiro is a streaky hitter. I don’t disagree but I’m wonder, if true, can someone check retrosheet stats to see if he trending towards longer streaks of no or few hits and hit “hot” streaks are getting shorter and shorter?

  14. ray on May 5th, 2006 10:21 pm

I’d do it but I have no way of getting to such stats

  15. msb on May 5th, 2006 10:23 pm

there is a reason Danny Graves is pitching with a 6-run lead….

  16. Typical Idiot Fan on May 5th, 2006 10:24 pm

    Ibanez padding stats.

  17. ray on May 5th, 2006 10:24 pm

Okay, we just need a single and a homer for the cycle. And a HPB, wlid pitch, walk, for the pitcher’s cycle, and a pass ball for good measure

  18. Typical Idiot Fan on May 5th, 2006 10:25 pm

Ump wanted to go home. He hasn’t called that all night.

  19. John in L.A. on May 5th, 2006 10:25 pm

    That ump sucks.

  20. ray on May 5th, 2006 10:26 pm

I like this thinking… pinch hitting for Richie. It’s creative… I really like it but boooo… he does his best Richie impression

  21. Typical Idiot Fan on May 5th, 2006 10:26 pm

Well g’night everybody. Someone said a while ago everytime Eddie blows a save we go into a funk. Here we are. Funkin’ around again.

  22. terry on May 5th, 2006 10:26 pm

now thats patience at the plate….way to make him pitch a strike…

  23. John in L.A. on May 5th, 2006 10:28 pm

218 – my thought exactly. Not a very noble sentiment, since his bad eye triggered the 8th inning meltdown.

Ah well. Not like he cost us the game.

  24. ray on May 5th, 2006 10:29 pm

    good afternoon all

  25. John in L.A. on May 5th, 2006 10:30 pm

222 – no way should Petagine have swung at that. That’s the ump’s failing, not Petagine’s.

  26. Sriram on May 5th, 2006 10:42 pm

Just for argument purposes, can we hire Lou again? will he take the job ?

  27. BelaXadux on May 6th, 2006 12:03 am

Sriram, Lou’s been to Tampa Bay, and doesn’t desire to do it again.
