Awolfgang – this article I wrote on defense should interest you.

The extension for Antonetti does not prevent him from interviewing for any GM jobs. It prevents him from leaving the Indians for anything other than a GM job, but everyone in the Indians organization still expects him to be running his own team within the next year or two.

Dave did a pretty great job tracking how overuse of his two-seamer is part of what caused Felix’s struggles last year, but in those first two starts this year it looked like a completely different pitch.

If it’s diving as much tonight as it was then, and if he’s got the same command, I’m not very worried. Not for just a start or two, at least.

    Dave, Thanks for the article.

And how many organizations would he feel are good fits for him?

I think if the Ms want him, and he wants the Ms, they’ll work it out…

Richie Sexson is good at hitting bombs. Thats about it. On a more positive note, this is a great day to head to the ballpark. Here’s to 7 innings and 75 pitches from Felix.

Actually, he’s not so much good at hitting bombs.

I just won a ticket raffle at work. 2 tickets in the Terrace Club plus a parking pass. Must be nice! It really is a happy Felix Day.

Ticketmaster still has seats close to behind homeplate for his start Sunday, assuming he’s well enough to stay in the rotation. I’ll be sitting in Section 127 row 15 and enjoying every pitch he throws.

Felix makes a date against San Diego worth $60 a ticket. I’m excited already

Faux real: If I’m not mistaken, San Diego will start Greg Maddux on Sunday. Now that would be a matchup.

5, 8 — Actually, Jacob wrestled the angel. And permanently injured his hip in the process. Better not to lay the biblical cognomen on Felix.

I didn’t know the Mariners announced any game plan. It’s not a secret that Felix’s elbow/forearm was stiff/sore, and even though he’s been instructed to not overuse the slider, it sure doesn’t mean he’s not going to throw it.

He threw is several times in his last pen session.
