Assuming he doesn’t get an AB (or even if he does, assuming he didn’t start juicing today), Willie will be only 21 games away from the record for consecutive games without an XBH after today.
Have you seen the weather this weekend? 🙂 If I didn’t have air-conditioning, I wouldn’t be here either…

So, I’m only following on fangraphs, how’d Bedard look? Mostly healthy? He went 5.2 w/ 94 pitches, everything ok?

Actually I wonder if there’s a guy at Gameday who periodically does stuff like that deliberately just because he enjoys imagining eyes popping out of sockets all over the intrawebs. I mean, we had that in-game ticker on KSTW a couple of years ago that listed “Doyle” so we know that kind of stuff goes on.
Now, if Willie were to play on Singles Night, and get an XBH, well, my head might just explode.
Willie would get in biiiig trouble going for extra bases on Singles night. He’s got a hot wife. And she probably has a temper. I’m sure she can kick his ass.
