Now let us quietly pray for a good Morrow outing v the Yankees. And a crazy FA market for pitchers, leading to a Winter Meeting trade of Washburn.

Dueling accents? Gastineau might insist on translators for both.

Why did Rig keep Cochran in tonight to close and try to do the same last night? Is something up with JJ or what?

Ladies and Gentlemen, your #4 starter for 2009!

(Felikkkkkks, Bedard, Morrow, RRS, anyone whose name DOES NOT rhyme with Loshburn or Glatista)

7: I was gonna throw Silva’s name in that parenthetical part for ya, but I can’t think of anything that rhymes with Chef. 🙂

They might need a translator to talk to each other. Maybe they use Ichiro. (Each of them walks away thinking “Man, that guy swears a lot”).

According to the Baker blog, Riggleman had ordered that JJ would not pitch or even warm up tonight. When he got up in the ninth, he called Charlton and told him to sit down. He’d pitched or warmed up in 8 of the last ten games, and Riggleman was being cautious.

“Illva” works well enough for me.

    Yeaaah. The Mariners win.

This means that the riot at Safeco is postponed … for now.

That, friends, appears to be a quality start.

Good for Riggleman. It is doubtful he remains manager past this season, but at least he has the wisdom to look at this organizations best interests moving forward.
