Save The Date

Dave · December 18, 2008 at 12:39 pm · Filed Under Mariners

Saturday, January 10th, 2009. It’s the next USSM event. It’s going to be awesome. It will include 100% less of me, but that just means that Derek will finally have a chance to get a word in since I’m not hogging the mic.

Seriously, you’re not going to want to miss this one. Details will be forthcoming, but don’t plan anything for the 10th.

What day of the week is that? Saturday?

I might be able to make that. I look forward to meeting GMZ.*

    * I have no reason to believe he’ll be there, but I figured I’d contribute to the hype.

If Zduriencik did show up, I wouldn’t know what I’d do with myself. It’ll be like the Beatles’ first American tour all over again.

January 10th is Saturday. Would like to go- new to USSM, so it’d be first event. Curious about details.

Wow, now I’m typing like Rorschach of Watchmen.

I attended that last event (my first) and had a great time. Can’t wait for this one. I wonder who’ll they’ll get to attend.

This absolutely sucks. I’m signed up for a $3000 freeroll poker tournament that day.

Should we hold off on requesting a seat to the gmail address for now?

Seriously, you’re not going to want to miss this one.

I recognize this kind of enthusiasm. This is what you guys do when you have something surprising in store for us and REEAAAALLLY want to tell us but don’t want to ruin it because it’s so huge that you’ll want to see our collective faces when we’re so surprised.

That’s the day after I get back from Jam Cruise. I just might be there with a tan.

Dave doesn’t want to reveal this in advance, but I’ll be there.

    hmm. Conor? Jason? Jeff?!?

Sadly, no. The Glassey clan will hopefully be represented, but I will be back in Durham.

Derek, Matthew, Graham, Jeff, and possibly me. You won’t want to miss the awkward silences.

  13. Graham on December 18th, 2008 1:56 pm

You had better be there, Sullivan

  14. msb on December 18th, 2008 2:06 pm

    both Jeffs! how exciting.

holler if you need cookies baked, or something…

  15. Jeff Sullivan on December 18th, 2008 2:10 pm

I would prefer to holler if I don’t need cookies baked. Which is never.

Special surprise guest….. Bill Bavasi!. And we’re all going to get to eat sushi off his bald head! Bring your chopsticks!

More seriously, second on my list of highly-anticipated speakers after (obviously) Zduriencik would be Tony Blengino.

If Zduriencik did show up, I wouldn’t know what I’d do with myself. It’ll be like the Beatles’ first American tour all over again.

You’d be like this? (And now I’m suddenly motivated to train for the Boston Marathon).

  17. Jeff Nye on December 18th, 2008 2:25 pm

I’m the cooler Jeff anyway, and I’ll be there.

  18. msb on December 18th, 2008 2:31 pm

now all we need is Jeff Shaw, and we’d have a multitude of Jeffs.

    A Jeffitude.

  19. Graham on December 18th, 2008 2:39 pm

I’d trade them all for Jeff Clement being there.

  20. gwangung on December 18th, 2008 2:39 pm

Afternoon or evening? ‘Cause that’s gonna affect what time I set a rehearsal…

We’d trade you for Doyle being there!

I don’t think we have the answer to that, yet.

    Jeffie is so much dreamier

  24. feingarden on December 18th, 2008 2:58 pm

Great. Not 30 min after I ppd a business trip to Vancouver to the following week instead of that one. Now I’ll never get to attend a USSM event. . My fault, I suppose, for moving 1700 mi away.

    Doyle could be the surprise.

    Dave/Conor,

Would you guys consider doing an East coast USSM event in NC? I’d really like to attend, but NYC to Seattle is a little far.

  29. Evan on December 18th, 2008 3:16 pm

    Sorry Jeff.

    Save The Date

I was going to pencil it in on the new calendar, and then discovered I had two 2008 calendars.

that’ll do me a world of good.

  31. msb on December 18th, 2008 6:03 pm

hmm. does the USSM/LL get-together have anything to do with the new adsense that popped up on the site? Should I be worried?
