Tonight’s bullpen

DMZ · August 13, 2009 at 5:18 pm · Filed Under Mariners

Lowe’s the only one out by virtue of having pitched in three straight, leaving
RHP Aardsma
RHP Batista
RHP Jakubauskas
RHP Kelley
LHP Olson
RHP White

Olson hasn’t pitched in three days. Batista and Jakubauskas both have pitched once, and Batista’s was two games ago.

Making your bullpen deptch chart look liiiikke…
LHP Olson
RHP Batista
RHP Jakubauskas
RHP Kelley (only 24p the last two nights)
RHP Aardsma
RHP White

Yow.

What are the odds that Batista gets DFA during this series?

I don’t know about that, but I would rather put a tee-ball tee on home plate than put Batista out on the mound again.

At least the tee-ball tee would put the ball in the strike zone.

    Oh snap.

Here’s hoping Snell regains his control, otherwise it will be really ugly really fast.

Between the bullpen useage and the injuries, that was one costly victory last night.

Would Jak really be available? He threw 43 pitches yesterday. Seems like a lot even for a guy who’s used to being a starter.

Am I the only homer watching BP tonight?

Wak said Jaku is OK for an inning (pregame on 710). And Olson’s the long guy.

Hoping Snell can give us 6 innings OR 115 pitches. Either is fine.
