Game 27, Rays at Mariners

Garza vs Lee, 7:10 pm.

Yes, there’s a game tonight. No, Milton Bradley isn’t going to play in it.

Lee looks to repeat his ridiculously impressive debut from last Friday, and he might have to be even better than he was then, as the M’s face Matt Garza, one of the toughest righties in the league. Wak jumbles the line-up a little bit to accommodate Ryan Langerhans, who is in left field.

Ichiro, RF
Figgins, 2B
Kotchman, 1B
Gutierrez, CF
Griffey, DH
Lopez, 2B
Langerhans, LF
Wilson, SS
Johnson, C

By the end of this homestand, the cupboards should get cleaned out. Designated Hugger, BB White, the belief system…all of it!

Ha this team is seriously falling apart.
Off-field problems, injuries, errors, bad bad decisions.
Cliff Lee I felt stayed in too long.
Wak just gave up on the game by putting in Sean White. He is/did great…

We’re one game away from 2 swept series yeah?
I’m sure even a struggling Angels team can beat this team we throw out every day.

    MORE MOVES JACK, MORE MOVES!

    Believe Big?

This is the team that beat Verlander a couple weeks ago? Ugh, this is painful. Come on, Mariners!

Is it just me, or did the gas tanker pull up near Safeco? It seems like we’re getting torched every which way…

Rick White, Sean White, Betty White, same thing.

This about sums up my expectations v. reality for the start of our season.

I can feel a rally comin’ on in the bottom of the 9th….the microscopic Mariner faithful at the game are gonna be rewarded with a comeback for the ages…And Bradley is gonna emerge from the shadows and hit the game winning homer…..RIIIIIIIIIIGHT.

Oh yeah, how do you guys feel about acquiring Bradley?

Man. Those three in the ninth are looking really bad right about now.

I LOVE THE MARINERS! Seriously could there be a worse team out there right now? We mind as well send out the Rainiers. It doesn’t matter. A loss is a loss, and we sure as hell aren’t going to win anytime soon with a team like this.

At least we’re not last in the MLB.

God, Jose looks lost. Just… lost.

I think we’ve been giving Wakamatsu too much credit and patience. He isn’t that good of a manager, really. He’s not bad, but he’s not great either. Jack brought him in and we think that almost everything Jack does is gold. Well, Wak is proving, day by day, that he doesn’t have the sense or the courage to make the right move when it counts. How many times can you put White out there? How many times can you play Sweeney and Griffey without being reasonable? I mean, come on! Wak needs to grow some balls.

Ah crap we have the bases loaded with 1 out, we’re done.

weird how empty safeco is. i doubt its ever been this empty for a game. when the camera pans out there is literally not single person anywhere but field level. this has got to hurt for the whole org.

  15. griffin on May 5th, 2010 10:00 pm

    3rd pitch out for Sweeney…

  16. Flowin on May 5th, 2010 10:00 pm

Don’t worry. Sweeney is up. He will hit a 5-run homer guys..

  17. griffin on May 5th, 2010 10:01 pm

    Damn.

  18. Rick Banjo on May 5th, 2010 10:01 pm

    Um… wow.

Can Kevin Mitchell come out of retirement and pinch hit?

  19. nvn8vbryce on May 5th, 2010 10:02 pm

It’s gonna take a miracle to win this game!

  20. MarinerFanMike03 on May 5th, 2010 10:02 pm

    BWHAHAHAH! Swining out Sweeney!

  21. griffin on May 5th, 2010 10:02 pm

I love to see Sweeney fail. I want him to fail and fail and fail and fail until he is gone. How much must a man fail before he gets shit canned?

  22. MarinerFanMike03 on May 5th, 2010 10:02 pm

    I mean swinging*

Well, our crowds are still better than the average Tampa crowds, and they made the World Series two seasons ago and are off to a 19-7 20-7 start to this season. And…yeah, that’s all I got.
