Back to back complete games…anyone have on hand the last time the M’s accomplished that feat?

Lee and Hernandez complete game victories back-to-back. Why can’t this have happened in April?

Well, for one thing, Lee was on the DL. 😀

My hair follicles are comforted, I can rest easy now.

Now let’s just hope The Hyphen has the best start of his career up his sleeve tomorrow.

I have to hand it to Wak – I honestly thought, as soon as Sweeney came off the DL, Wak was gonna park Saunders on the bench again.

Baker or someone wrote that Sweeney would only be a pinch-hitter for 2-3 days, then get back in the lineup 🙁 .

Matt Pitman mentioned on the post-game show that it was 1996 — though he didn’t mention who pitched those two.

My reaction was…WOW…there’s been a hell of a lot of decent starting pitchers on this team between now and then!

    F-(the)-King Great…

    What else?

That would be the Bobs – Wells and Wolcott.

I remember that game that Bob Wells pitched, but forgot that Wolcott had gone back-to-back with him on complete games.

Not that there are a lot of CG’s anywhere these days, but considering some of the known “innings-eaters” who’ve come through here in that stretch — such as RJ, Freddy, Moyer, Sele and Pineiro — I’m a little surprised that hasn’t happened at least once since then.

Maybe Kotch gets benches and Sweeney plays 1B. IIRC it was working pretty well befor he got put on the shelf.

This is how far RRS has sunk this year. His start doesn’t even warrant a game post!
