Game 137, Mariners at A’s

Mike Snow · September 2, 2011 at 6:22 pm · Filed Under Mariners

Vargas vs. Moscoso, 7:05.

Moscoso you may remember from throwing a 2-hitter for 7 innings in the game that started the 17-game losing streak. At least he won’t be starting any Mariner losing streaks this time.

RF-L Ichiro
CF-R Gutierrez
2B-L Ackley
1B-L Carp
DH-B Smoak
C-R Olivo
3B-L Seager
LF-R Wells
SS-R Ryan

Smoak back – I read somewhere (Drayer maybe) that they thought he[d stay in Tacoma a little longer as he was Ofer in his 3 game rehab.

Tacoma’s only got a couple games left; Smoak’ll see plenty of AAA pitching with the big club this month.

Can’t believe everyone must be watching a Seahawks pre-season game when the M’s are playin’ archrival Oakland A’s!?!? A’s wearing throwback yellow uni’s too!!
    C’mon Vargas is pitching!

    Fair-weather fans!

Hopefully people were watching the TCU-Baylor game.

Vargas has thrown three shutouts this year. Whatever elixir he was drinking has clearly soured.

Why is Jeff Gray still pitching for this ball club? Why??

I don’t know you can blame anyone. The M’s are fielding a AAA team right now, and the pitching has been awful.

Yes, I liked it better when we weren’t sure Gray was on the team or not (for not getting any appearances).

    Jimenez is also meh.
And while we’re at it, I wouldn’t be sad not to see any more Anthony Vasquez appearances either.

Wedge needs to give another version of his rousing “Respect the Game” speech to the team behind closed doors.
