From vacation: I hear Bob Melvin’s thinking about taking Cirillo’s starting job away. Let’s review for a second:
Cirillo’s not hitting at all at home, and not particularly well on the road.
Cirillo plays fine defense at third.
The Mariners have no one at all on the roster who can hit as well as Cirillo or field as well as Cirillo
Cleary, then, the solution is to make any change at all in the hopes that the results are better… arrrgghhh.
Back to vacationing.
The Big Board is up to date. As Dave mentioned, Cha Seung Baek debuted at AA this week, taking Chris Wright’s spot in the rotation. Wright was promoted to Tacoma. You might also have noticed that the M’s have a new starting 3B; I’ve made that change as well. There were a few other minor moves, so be sure to check them all out.
