I know I haven’t been posting much lately, as I try to spend as much time with my family as humanly possible in a one-week stretch. I hope all of you have a great Christmas, and challenge you with one piece of advice that I’m attempting to take to heart myself; don’t let the thoughts of your heart go unspoken, assuming the opportunity will come again. So it’s nearly Christmas, and Mariners fans are in pretty much the same place we left them last September, a simmering collective mass of skepticism. And Mariners’ management has the same answer, one that doesn’t have quite the same soothing power it once did:
